The Gift of Love

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

The world as we know it is filled with sin. Not one of us is perfect person, spouse, child , parent, or friend, even though many of us spend a lifetime pretending we can be.

Into this world of denial God sent the truth-His perfect Son. Why? Because God desired relationship with us.  He knew we could only find healing in the context of a healthy love relationship-a relationship in which we could face the truth about ourselves and know that we were loved at the same time. The truth sets us free, but it must be represented in the context of grace or it is too harsh for us to receive.

Love is the motive for the greatest invitation we will ever receive. God’s Son, the greatest gift, was willingly sacrificed for you and me. When we accept God’s Son as our Savior, we receive the greatest from the greatest Giver. This gift is for us today, and it also covers our tomorrows. That reality provides us with the greatest joy we will ever know.

Thought:  Rejoice,you are loved.
